Rural Maternity Services

letter template to reinstate your local birthing services

Be forewarned, this takes commitment and hard-work. There's only been a handful of maternity services re-opened in rural Australia. Check out the former Save Gladstone Maternity Ward  for some inspiration and great campaign ideas.

  • Write to your local MP, Health service and Health Minister

  • reach out to your local media

  • create a page on social media for stories

  • consider having a town hall meeting or rally to garner support, media interest and political buy-in
